For coaching centres

How to choose an LMS for a coaching institute or tuition centre

Coaching does not run on semesters. Students join mid-month, sit in two subjects, pay monthly in cash or by transfer, and their parents want proof they turned up. Most LMS products are built for degree programmes and quietly assume none of that.

Requirement 1: batches, not semesters

You need enrolment that allows a student to join on the 12th, carry their own fee schedule, and appear in two subjects with attendance and marks that follow them across both. If the product's smallest unit is an academic term, every mid-month admission becomes an exception someone handles by hand.

Requirement 2: monthly fee cycles with real chasing

Monthly billing is the default in coaching, and collections are the bottleneck. Look for invoices and receipts per student, tracked pending and overdue positions, and reminders that fire on their own — before the due date, the day after, and on a repeating cadence while a payment stays overdue, with a cap so nobody gets spammed.

Requirement 3: teacher revenue share

Multi-teacher centres pay subject teachers a share of collected fees. That percentage should live on the course and drive payouts automatically, and it should be visible only to admins and the teacher it belongs to — not to the whole staff list.

Requirement 4: parents get answers without phoning you

A parent portal that shows class schedule, attendance history and percentage, fee status with receipts, and assignment grades removes most routine front-desk calls. Notes and class recordings should stay student-only.

Requirement 5: it must also work for one teacher

Many centres start as one person. HTS-LMS runs the same modules for a solo tuition teacher without the payroll layer, so a setup takes minutes and nothing has to be rebuilt when a second teacher joins.

Requirement 6: checking load you can delegate

Homework and quiz checking is where teacher hours disappear. Assign submissions to teacher assistant accounts — manually or automatically — with a capacity per assistant and a return deadline in days after the due date, and keep fees, attendance and materials behind explicit per-assistant switches.

Frequently asked questions

We collect most fees in cash. Does that break the system?
No. Payments are recorded against the invoice whatever the method, so receipts, pending states and reminders behave the same for cash, transfer or mixed collection.
Can I try it with one batch first?
Yes — accounts are approved with a time-boxed demo trial you can extend, approve or reject at the end. Message HTS on WhatsApp at +92 303 8864989 to set one up.
