An LMS owns courses, class delivery, material, assessment, attendance and progress. An education ERP owns the operational record: admissions and approvals, student and staff records, fee ledgers and receipts, payroll or teacher payouts, expenses and management reporting. Both need the same student record; only one of them usually has it.

The cost of two systems
Running an LMS beside an accounting tool is workable when someone owns the reconciliation. The failure mode is not the software cost — it is the export-import step, where a student who left in March keeps getting invoices, or a paid fee never clears in the learning side.
The combined option

- A student information system (SIS) is the records half — student data, enrolment, attendance history. An education ERP usually means the SIS plus finance, payroll and reporting. HTS-LMS can hold those records itself or sit alongside an existing SIS.
- Can I start with the LMS side and add finance later?
- Yes. In HTS-LMS the administrative modules are switched on as you need them, so you can begin with classes, attendance and marking and turn on fee invoicing, reminders and payouts afterwards without a migration.
